Testimonials

This is not just one more zoom to attend!

This one hour is action packed with an interview of a dynamic YMCA influencer, along with time together with other leaders to engage about topic for the month.

I find that every month, I leave the call with a sense of togetherness, hope, and encouragement because of the topics we’re not afraid to cover.

Nancy Abbott, Chaplain, YMCA of Greater San Antonio, Texas, USA

When I joined Silver Bay YMCA as the Spiritual Life Director nearly four years ago, I knew that the “C” in the YMCA movement stood for “Christian,” but did not think that it remained a vital part of the movement.

How wrong I was!

I have discovered that there is a diverse and active community of Christians serving in the YMCA movement.

The monthly “Being Christ’s Presence in the YMCA” gatherings have helped to connect me with a global community of Christians and have given me opportunities to hear first-hand how leaders are practicing their Christian faith in meaningful ways in their individual cultural contexts.

The YMCA Christian Principles network also provides vital learning opportunities and a place to connect and converse with other Christians within the YMCA movement.

I am a more effective and intentional Christian leader at Silver Bay YMCA because of these opportunities.

Thanks so much to those who provide these invaluable tools! May God bless and multiple your efforts!

Garth Allen, Chaplain, Silver Bay YMCA New York, USA

I enjoy being involved with the network, it gives me a chance to connect with YMCAs around the globe.

I’m pioneering our chaplaincy programme here in Ireland and this network makes me feel less alone & gives me great insights about what others are doing to promote the Christian Emphasis

Anne Baenziger, National Coordinating Chaplain, YMCA of Ireland

Being Christ’s Presence in the YMCA is a wonderful community of professionals who are interested in advancing the “C” in the YMCA.

It’s not only a great place to exchange thoughts, ideas and best practices but invaluable for one’s own personal, spiritual growth and encouragement.

Leonard Speed, Executive Director of Midtown YMCA Montgomery, Alabama, USA
